About The Rotary Club of The Villages
Founded in 1996 in Lady Lake Florida, we were the first of three clubs now in The Villages, Florida. “Service Above Self” is not only the motto for Rotary International, but the mindset for us as well. We strive to raise money to support our local community as well as International efforts.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR Club:
The New Year’s celebrations are over and the personal resolutions for the year ahead are being kept by some, and others have already “changed their minds”. Some things never change.
For several reasons, the year 2024 poses opportunities and worries. It reminds us that if we don’t keep our own engines running the right way, we cannot be of assistance to others.
“Service above self “ is the Rotary motto and our club – The Rotary Club of the Villages (TRCOTV) – is dedicated to living that and about chasing and grabbing the upcoming opportunities to do so. As all organizations and, in general, groups of people gathered for a purpose, there might be a worry or two. But we will focus on what we can do for our local community and the international community, as well.
Many are aware of our fundraising events that make the newspaper and bring large numbers of our neighbors and friends out to participate and donate to our causes. Our largest fundraiser and a
tremendous event that provides information and fun for the entire family will be held on February 3rd in Sumter Landing. The Home and Garden Show, Chili Cookoff, and Beer Tasting event provides funding for scholarships and help to local non-profit organizations.
Please visit our website regularly to learn more about Rotary, meet our team, and keep informed about our activities.
